The state has revamped and reinvented its system of economic development, with a focus on growing and bringing jobs to this state. This includes additional opportunities in clean energy and the closure of our final coal power plant. I also co-sponsored a bill in 2011 through Assembly Bill 432, that dealt with home energy audits, standardizing and streamlining the process to help homeowners. By passing Senate Bill 229 in 2013 , we renewed our commitment to one of our most valuable resources, Lake Tahoe, by ensuring Nevada remains in the bi-state compact (TRPA).
